Summary
The Yeti Chest can only be found in Return of the Yeti and Gate Keeper II after defeating the Yeti II during the Christmas Event 2017 or Frosty Jr. during the Christmas Event 2019, respectively. Opening this chest will award the player with the Ice Staff after defeating Yeti II. After defeating Frosty Jr., you will be rewarded with the M2 Tripod or 1 Christmas Skincrate if you already have the M2 Tripod.
Background Story
After a long battle with an enraged Yeti, the survivors were all but tired, cold and well... Dying. All the chests looked exactly the same. One such survivor, however, found the courage to continue, to find a chest, so frozen that only his fiery soul could thaw it out. To his disappointment, all he found was a downsized version of the very weapon that had slaughtered many of his comrades, but this legend of the chest continued to be passed down in the stories of every winter to come.
Two years later, they found the very same chest, locked behind a door with the key kept by a giant snowman. This time, they found something not even loosely related to the snowman... A recipe for a sentry gun.
Tips
- Try to not be near the centre of the arena after beating the boss, as you may be forced to waste your time unlocking a regular chest.
Trivia
- Third boss exclusive chest.
- Used to give the Halloween Skincrate and Yeti Skincrate during Debug 2017.
- Second boss chest to be used more than once, with the first being the Halloween Chest.
