- "Chk chk, boom. Annihilate zombies close-range and laugh at 'em as you maniacally blow chunks of the infected apart with this weapon. The dead will wish they didn't rise."
- ―Kez
Summary
The Wingmaster 870 is a shotgun that packs a powerful punch; this can rip through the greatest of foes with speeds comparable to the high-rank guns. The only downside is that you run out of ammo quickly, but hey, with something as reliable as this... Who needs reloading when you have a hunting shotgun?
Background Story
The Wingmaster found its place in the hearts of many veteran survivors. Back in the olden days of the apocalypse, where contracts were non-existent, zombies rampant and the survivors still finding their foothold in such a dreary world, not many weapons were available; even then, very few could afford them. The DB Shotgun was released during this time, being cheap to manufacture and very affordable to the masses.
L-Brain Sidework then understood the importance of shotguns and when they split the company, birthing the now venerated R-Brain Hardwork, they used the accumulated funds from the DB Shotgun to create a better, more efficient weapon. It was a pump-action shotgun with the ability to take out zombies with a single shot. They dubbed this weapon as the "Wingmaster 870" because they thought the name Remington wasn't eye-opening enough.
The day the Wingmaster was released was, indeed, a monumental victory for the survivors during that time. Many veterans swore by its sheer firepower and now tell tales of its former glory, back before the months where more expensive weapons were released. Now, though it may not be the most powerful shotgun, it was, during its time, one of, if not the best, weapon available.
Tips
- Don't get fooled, as the stored ammo on this gun are shells, not mags.
- As such, you can fire the Wingmaster 11 times before needing to restock.
- Armors that give ammo with give three times as much as normal. For example the Tactical I will supply 3 extra shells.
- The Extra Ammo attachment adds 12 more shells to the magazine.
- As such, you can fire the Wingmaster 11 times before needing to restock.
- Reload whenever possible, you won't lose ammo in the process.
- If you have zero shells loaded, you can reload one and shoot it immediately, no need to fully reload the gun.
- Be careful when shooting this around a Ticker or you may end up killing yourself from a tank explosion.
- You are encouraged to kill it, if it is at close range, if it hasn't rushed yet.
- Try tripping the Ticker first, by Punching or Kicking, to make it easier to kill it without shooting the tanks.
- You are encouraged to kill it, if it is at close range, if it hasn't rushed yet.
- Like the DB Shotgun, this is also effective against Edgars.
- Even though this has 140 range, it's best not to try and use it at long range. It is still a shotgun.
- This weapon is surprisingly lethal at medium ranges. Aim for the head and your adversaries will explode!
- Compared to the other shotguns, the Wingmaster reloads the fastest.
- This is generally a very good shotgun against all zombies, including the Brute, so long you can get close enough to it without being smashed.
- Rebel Pose is just a cosmetic attachment. If you want an useful attachment, buy the Extra Ammo.
- Use ADS when shooting mid to long ranges.
- If a zombie is close, don't use ADS.
