"If it kills fascists, it can kill zombies for the Motherland!"
―some Russian sniper idk

Background Story[]

A poor man's Remington 700, the Mosin is actually dubbed as a "garbage rod" by civilian shooters. Back in the days it only costs about `100-300$ a rifle. When the virus outbreaks, Russian authorities releases these milsurp rifles for their citizens for free, and later on L-Brain Sideworks managed to smuggle these rifles to the US.

People who appreciate the Mosin, do so because they appreciate history, and the fact that you can buy a historical item, that is still working, and extremely affordable.

Commissar's guide book[]

Comrades! The Mosin is not a magical rifle. Yes it deals 25 damage more than a Rem700 , it actually has 25 worse accuracy, and operating the bolt is stiffer than Rem . The magazine is fixed, means that you either have to load each round individually or use a clip (yes, don't mistake "clip" with "magazine").

You can buy a PU-1 scope for 1000$ (the scope itself is cheap, but you also need to install the bent bolt handle), the total cost would still cheaper than stock Remington. It boost accuracy to 225, and has 3x zoom. The tradeoff is when you empty your magazine, you have to reload each cartridges at a time, since the scope obstructs the top of the bolt.

Bayonet is cosmetic only, but combined with the vintage looks of the Mosin, suits the Musketeer pose better
