Summary

This is an event mob for the Christmas 2017 and 2018 Events, which resembles a small wind-up penguin toy. Looks can be deceiving however, since they can inflict large amounts of damage when fought in groups.

Background Story

You may feel bad for hurting, perhaps even killing these poor things. But really, they're penguins that have been enslaved by the monstrous creature that is the Yeti. Turned into his playthings, they're simply his toys, mindless minions, set to do battle against his enemies. Really, you're putting them out of their misery.

Tips

  • These are slow on land but quick in the water!
  • The water can instantly kill you, so avoid getting in contact with the Toy Penguins.
  • Don't get pushed around, shoot them.
    • Punching these creatures are recommended, if you do not have a gun.
  • Due to Toy Penguins going on groups, automatic weapons, explosives and shotguns are recommended.
  • Pipebombs can lure them, leading to easy kills.
  • You can only kill them from the front, not from the back.
  • Explosives and fire are your friends to killing these.
    • The X-Mas Launcher and M202 are recommended due to them being reloadable.
      • The RPG is recommended, to a lesser extent, due to the fact it isn't reloaded conventionally.
    • The Flamethrower is a great alternative for dispatching hordes of penguins.
    • The Molotov and Jerry Can are also great at dealing with swarms.
    • They can be easily pushed and stunned by Fire Extinguisher.

Trivia

  • The Toy Penguins can swim in water, the only AI other then AI Zombies that can do so.
  • These used to give 20$ in Debug but now changed to 10$ for obvious farming reasons.
  • In Yeti's Quest, there is no limit to Toy Penguins, in Snowy Snowy Hills, there is a 30 limit.
