Summary
This is quite a unique mount. Unlike other mounts that are forced to move on the ground, this one flies. It's still uncontrollable, but it can zip through the air into safety.
Background Story
Survivors of old tell the tale about Santa Claus, a mysterious figure who supposedly gives gifts to those who are nice. They say that his sleigh was pulled by eight reindeer, and on Christmas Day, he would brighten the days of millions around the world.
Heavenly Day was looking for a cheap cash-in during the time where survivors were the most jolly, and made this rocket-powered sleigh that shipped with numerous defects. Don't worry, no returns, but they'll send you a replacement very soon...
Tips
- Beware, you can get killed due to fall damage.
- This is a great mount to escape hoards, but only in straight lines and non-vertical maps.
- By far, this is one of the best mounts to use in large maps such as Last Harvest and Void.
- In vertical maps, such as Tokyo, Japan, it can be used to fly from one side of the map to the other. However, be aware that is quite uncontrollable and if you need to abort, you may take some fall damage.
- This mount won't complete Obstacle 5 of Snowy Snowy Hills, so you'll need to use the actual Sleigh.
- Situationally, this is better than the Rhi-snow and Mini Crab. However, practically, the said mounts are better for transport.
- If it collides with something, it will fall to the ground or become out of control if it's fast enough.
- Try to abort before it does so.
- The Rocket Sleigh will cease to gain vertical height after around 10-15 seconds.
- It will eventually crash into the ground or into the void if you don't abort.
- If you are falling with a Cakepack or Parasol, you can re-equip the Rocket Sleigh.
- However, if you are in a failing position, or being flung around, the Rocket Sleigh will not gain vertical height.
- To gain vertical height from this position, look directly up and equip.
- However, if you are in a failing position, or being flung around, the Rocket Sleigh will not gain vertical height.
- While you can use the Toy Sword on this mount, it is rather useless since it is unlikely you will be attacking zombies on this mount.
- Being in the mount for too long will cause you to be flung or in a position to be barrel rolling when you eject.
- Abort early to prevent this.
- Being in first person will negate this.
- Through a glitch the Rocket Sleigh can be used in conjunction with the Van.
- Don't attempt to glitch out of the map with this mount as it is BANNABLE, so don't do it.
Trivia
- Uses same mesh as Sleigh except with rockets and a bow in the front.
- First mount that doesn't have jump.
- Named "Sleigh" in-game.
- This is the first mount able to fly.
- Because of poor performance with the Rocket Sleigh, PlaceRebuilder updated the mount in v1.2.8a.
- Before v1.2.8a, it would travel on the ground. The controls were just as unresponsive but it didn't travel in such a straight line.
- This is one of the most useful mounts in melee smash, considering you can fly to the players and hit them with a stunning weapon.
Just in case, here is a link to the Sleigh. |
