Summary
Leeroy is a Campaign NPC that appears in the Buried Alive. It spawns outside of Campaign, but it has no use. You need to give him an NRGY Drink to make him rush towards the church, blowing up the gate, allowing you access to the Priest.
Background Story
Being stuck underneath a buried town can really put a toll on anyone's mental health, which might be the answer to why a particular group of survivors decided to turn to an anthropomorphic crocodile named Leeroy for help. However, he refused to budge, instead making a simple request when approached:
"Give me my energy drink!"
Quite conveniently, a single NRGY Drink was laying somewhere in the town. The survivors passed it onto him, and in the flash of an eye, Leeroy jumped up from his seat, charging towards the church's gates and blowing up everything in its wake.
That's the last anyone's heard of Leeroy, probably meaning he's dead. Oh well. It was an honourable sacrifice, though some survivors speculate his remains were used to create a fiery weapon.
Tips
- To locate the NRGY Drink, use the Tag Objective in the In-Game Store.
- Giving the NRGY Drink to Leeroy will reward you with 1 Fame.
- Leeroy's explosion can kill players if they are close enough to him while he explodes by the church gate.
Trivia
- Leeroy is based on a Call of Duty: Black Ops II character Arthur aka "Leroy" as called by the COD:BO2 community.
- Leeroy is the third/fourth mob that can speak English.
- First being Sam, second being Chronos XI and third/fourth being Jacksplot 7
- First mob to directly help with the Campaign.
- Strangely enough, Leeroy will still ask for the NRGY Drink, even if the gamemode is not Campaign.
- Leeroy's running animation is the same animation for the Ticker Rush.
