Digging Competence (E):
When the player presses E, the zombie digs under the surface, which improves its speed and makes it very difficult to kill.
Digging Physics:
To avoid glitches and bugs, it would be necessary that when he digs, his body does not move underground so to avoid these problems it would be necessary to simulate the player digging underground with an animation. (Physically, the corp still on the ground but its displacements would be published and it would be totally invisible, no collision with structures/players, in short, it would have to make believe to the players that the zombie digs under the surface whereas it is only 'an animation)
Digging Properties:
- The zombie can only dig to a surface in which it goes back up (Most important)
- When the player presses E, the zombie takes 2-3 seconds before being under the surface (which makes it vulnerable when it comes in or out of its hiding place)
- Digging consumes energy so if the zombie exceeds the stamina bar by digging it will automatically raise the surface.
- The zombie has 100 stamina and consumes 10 energy per second so it can dig up to 10 seconds.
(The regeneration time of the stamina is slow to avoid the player constantly changing surface)
- When the zombie digs, it can not stop under the ground
(so if the player does not control the zombie it will keep the same direction in a straight line)
(The zombie must be in constant motion and can not stop while it digs to avoid it camping underground, so it means that at the least moment it is underground, it consumes energy.)
- The zombie does not dig vertically (Up to Down)
- The zombie can not dig into a small building (ie the foundation, floors)
- The zombie can't dig under a building
In digging mode, it is invulnerable to:
- Is somehow invincible as it digs but can not directly attack the player during this time
