- "Ol' Reliable."

Summary
AK-47 stands for Russian Avtomat Kalashnikova 1947 (Автомат Калашникова 1947 or Automatic Kalashnikov 1947).
Can be considered a faster M1A1 Thompson. Can also be considered a reincarnation of the Kalashnikova.
Having virtually the same DPS, this weapon is great at tearing through hordes — and a good sized amount of ammo. Like other weapons in the series, you will shred through your ammo. Aim for headshots, hit your shots, and you'll be fine.
Try to keep in mind that if soldiers used this weapon against intelligent beings, using it against brain-dead corpses are probably going to be one of your best bets.
Background Story
With success, comes knock-offs. And also failures. Don't forget that.
This fact was no different with L-Brain Sidework. After the recall and retirement of the Kalashnikova, multiple companies sprung forwards with their own version to cash in. Of course, the knock-offs were no where as good as the original Kalashnikova. Dismissing it as a one-time thing, they turned to work on new products.
Unfortunately, their sales started to dwindle. When they looked into this issue, it was discovered with every weapon they released, four more companies quickly released their own take on it. People couldn't tell the difference between what was an actual product and what was a cash grab, and their entire reputation was in doubt.
They took a step back. What was it that made people trust them?
Deciding that the future needed them more than ever, plans for a brand new Kalashnikova were drafted. This time, with a brand new name and a brand new start.

- Try to aim for as many headshots as possible.
- Have a reliable secondary if you run out of your ammunition quickly.
- The Baseball Bat or Rambo Knife may be ideal to bring.
- At long range, it is best to tap fire or to shoot in small bursts.
- 3-5 bullet bursts are good.
- When fighting a boss, it is better to use the M1A1 Thompson as you do more total damage per mag, and for the entirety of your ammunition, unless the boss requires weapons with good range, such as the Pumpkinator.
- While ADS'ing, the gun has some vertical recoil.
- You have to compensate for this by pulling down while firing.
- Buy the Laser for 40+ more accuracy.

- This could also explain why the Kalashnikova from DEMO was very cheap since it was based off the AKM that is cheaper to manufacture and is a kilogram lighter than the AK-47.
- It is the most common firearm in the world, with approximately 75 million out of the estimated 500 million firearms in the world being an AK-47.
