Recently, the moderation team has implemented a new rule to " Shed-Farming " aka " 15 Seconds Before Killall ".
This new rule has been heavily enforced by the moderation team, slowly decreasing the amount of " Shed Farmers ".
Good news shall I say? What are your thoughts?
What's shed farming
@Shortacer123(ARS21TIA) Shed Farming is done on Stud Harvest II. You basically put a Disruptor on every spawn, except for the lone zombie spawn in the shed tucked away in the back corner of the map. Put up some hammer structures to block a zombie from leaving, grab some explosives, and spam on the shed.
Shed farming is clearly a winner-loser thing where the zombies just continuously gain EXP while the Survivors consider other Player Zombies as "Easy Gold". Apparently there is a "Anti-Shed farm group" out there. Which places a disruptor on the place where the shed farm takes place. Quite inspiration if I do say so myself.
Apparently, somebody could just brute club the people on there.
Dude banning people for spawn killing is way over the line. It would basically make all of it stop but it is really hard to tell who was actually shed farming as people could easily be framed for shed farming.
Look, Shed Farming is a issue that necessitates a fix. Not only does it totally bypass what is meant to be a more laborious and slow progression through the game's ranks, it makes a fool of fundamental mechanics such as zombie spawning and more minuscule concepts like Disruptors. It's abusive, and completely ruins the experience of selected zombies by forcing them through about 10 minutes of idling until the round ends or someone luckily manages to break the fence trapping them in the shed.
We won't be expecting a fix for quite awhile, considering the shift R2DA is going through with transferring most of the developer status over to a new person (who I believe is Kord_K), and Place himself not being as motivated and quick when working on the game. Therefore, the mods are doing their best to handle the problem themselves. The most they can do is make Shed Farming against the rules as a sort of "temporary fix." However, the current punishment, being killed mid-round, is not even close to threatening enough, and escalating the punishment to a ban may be necessary to keep it under control.
Obviously, just threatening with a ban (not permanent, of course, just temporary) already drastically cuts down levels of Shed Farming. You can also request people to leave servers that participate in Shed Farming to not get caught in the crossfire? It's not the best solution, but it's all we have until the developers do something.
@OLatios at least 1 day ban who added the fences. its painful to see shedfarm in other maps
@Minininho02 Perhaps you can bring this suggestion of yours to the Moderation Team?
A one day ban is a reasonable punishment in my opinion. But in order to avoid unnecessary crossfires, the ban can only be distributed if solid proof is obtained.
wow big brains above me, fr tho i would not come with these ideas since i barely have braincells
I think NotMEHs idea is a pretty good idea
What do you think?
