The new Manual of Style must be referred to when editing or creating an article (not commenting, making forum posts etc.). This is NOT a rulebook (you will not be punished for not following it) but it is used for standardisation across articles.

Would you use the comma before an ampersand?
Answer yes and you have never edited an encyclopedia before
My answer is no because ampersands are stupid anyways(I can understand them in infoboxes because of the space limit).
